DEVIL'S BRIDGE WATERFALLS

Devils Bridge Falls is a world-famous tourist attraction 12 miles from Aberystwyth. These unique waterfalls have attracted many thousands of visitors since the 18th century, including William Wordsworth who wrote about the “Torrent at the Devil’s Bridge”. Today, the Falls Nature Trail provides a unique opportunity to see this great natural feature in the Rheidol Gorge.

There are two walks to choose from:

1. NATURE TRAIL, WATERFALLS & 3 BRIDGES
This walk takes a minimum of 45 minutes.
Difficult walk. 675 steep uneven natural stone steps.

2. PUNCHBOWL & 3 BRIDGES
This walk takes 10 minutes or so.
Moderate walk. 300 slate steps

The Waterfalls and Punchbowl are open all year.
Refreshments and food are available from the Hafod Hotel opposite the exit to the waterfalls walk.

Dogs must be kept on the lead.  If your dog is large then it may struggle to enter through the turnstile with you.  The steep steps are also difficult for dogs with short legs.

RIVER RAFTING

When the river levels increase, it’s time to blow up the raft and get onto some white-water up to grade 4. 10km of natural paddling on white and gently flowing water taking in the best drops on the Teifi. Working as a team with a trained guide, you’ll negotiate the cauldron, surf the wave in preparation for the steep drop finale of Henllan falls.

Rafting is one of the few team-based outdoor sports so it’s a popular choice for group activities and events. You don't need to be fit but you will need to paddle for 2 hours, you don't need any experience, you just need to hold on!

Other activities such as coasteering, seas kayaking and paddleboard available.

Available subject to water levels, for more info on Cardigan Bay Active's website, click here (opens in new window)

ROCK CLIMBING

Climbing sessions are suitable for all ages and are a great confidence builder.

More advanced sessions are available where you will learn how to 'lead climb' and nail your 'belaying' technique. Alongside this you will learn more technical skills and techniques to really improve your climbing ability and knowledge.

Whilst climbers use abseiling out of necessity to get to the bottom of climbs most people consider it to be an interesting activity in itself. Groups can be taken on Abseiling sessions throughout the South/West Wales area.
